Found issue with aux gas tank

I haven't been able to use the aux gas tank in my 87 Silverado sine I purchased it. Went through the whole electrical side of it and could not find an issue there which led to the determination that it was the pump itself. After dropping the tank the issue became obvious, this thing is the worst I have ever seen on a vehicle. New tank, sender etc are inbound

My 87was missing that thing in the bottom, like all the metal was gone, I could almost pull the whole baffle system out
