Ford NP208 Interchange / 27 Spline Output Shaft Th400

Just noticed that it only has provision for the stamped tin torque converter cover. So its not a factory 4wd unit.

That irritates the hell out of me too, the tin won't stay tight and rattles like hell

Ya the factory 4wd unit is nice cause the cover has 2 torque arms that go to the engine mount brackets

An actual slip yoke th400 must be a rare bird these days, as they would have been in older passengers cars and pickups. I think they were all 32 spline though.

1 direct drum with sprag

Well I guess I'll get rid of the truck soon if I can't find even a matching trans/tcase I can afford
Looked everywhere and called every junkyard around, they either don't call back or are idiots and want 500$ for a tcase
I'm wore out from class and work and need a vehicle I don't have to share, I don't know if I can go another two months without one with the gf gettin a new job and classes changing
I'm in a hole and my ladder was stolen...

Hold off, and set it aside. One will show up. These things go in spirts. Not long ago you could pick them up all over for $50. I had 4 at one time, now down to 2. Sold 2 of them for $100 ea a few months ago. I kept the one for my A833 and one for my 700r4/Th350.

Just a tip, you might change your location to include the state. I have no clue where or what trafalgar is. You might also post a WANT AD in the classifieds.
