Howdy! I just picked up my first square body three weeks ago. I picked up a 1988 chevy v10 suburban, this is my daily driver and it's a blast! gas mileage be dammed. Bought the truck with the 4in lift installed, it's pretty rusty but given the interior condition I'm going to fix it eventually.
Truck needed next to nothing when I bought it other than an oil pan (original one rusted through) and an o2 sensor. It has had an r134a conversion at some point and the ac does work unlike my k1500's ac lol. Current things on the repair list are to fix the heat as it hardly works (both hoses to heater core warm, plugged core?), replace the rusted transmissions cooler lines, replace the vacuum lines in the engine bay and fix the exhaust leak somewhere from the y pipe. The truck drives a hell of a lot better than I thought and I'm impressed with it so far, I want to keep it a while.
