Hi all just coming over and joining up. I was told to come over here by gxpweasel on gmt400 . I have an 84 c10 , it was my dad’s (pops) . It’s ls swapped with a cammed lq9 and 4l65e , long tubes , magnaflow exhaust , 3:42 with an auburn helical gear limited slip , rear disc brake conversion and custom interior. I’m sure I’m forgetting some things. It’s about flywheel 500 ish hp (guessing) and 420 at the wheels (dyno) super fun truck. Currently has Detroit steel del rays on it , but I’m probably going to be changing wheels again soon but with new tires. I get bored with the same looks.

I also have a 92 step side , 350 tbi 5 speed I am building currently that is my daily. The wheels on it are probably going to the c10 soon.

Beautiful! How do you like the 3:42? I am trying to decide between 3:42 limited slip and 3:73 LS for my K10 cruiser with a 375 HP small block Blueprint motor. I am only going to run 32 or 33’s and average towing, with some highway trips in the future so I am inclined to go 3:42, but I really don’t want to regret it and do that job twice!

@Broken85 I like them from a mpg perspective but this truck makes so much power I really I should have gone lower. This truck can scarily do over 130 mph with ease so I have plenty of top end to sacrifice and I wish I had. Tbh I probably will change them again just not sure when. I can easily get 18-20 mpg highway with this truck. It regularly returned better mpg than the 2017 tundra I used to have lol for a truck with larger tires like that I’d even consider 4:10s. My truck is probably a poor measuring stick though because of the cam I have it loves to rev , and I have to have a stall converter (either 2500 or 3 k can’t remember ) so ymmv. Also with an sbc vs my Ls , you’re going to be making more torque in the lower rpm a lot quicker than me too .
