Finally snagged a fuel injection emblem.

Put this on tonight. It’s a tiny detail, but it’s bugged me that my ‘87 didn’t have the fuel injection emblem. Couldn’t stomach the prices I kept seeing for new ones, but finally got lucky and found a used one for $35 on EBay. Best part is it’s an original, and has just enough patina to look like it belongs on a 36-year-old truck.

I think that particular emblem was originally a Pontiac part, judging by the typeface/letter style/font. I used to draw car logos and emblems on my school notebook covers so I notice the different styles of lettering. Unfortunately didn't keep those notebook covers.....

I recall it being on the front fenders of Parisiennes with 4.3L V6s starting in '85.

Cadillac had them. If I recall when I was looking them up, Cadillac used the exact same emblem.
Makes sense. GM wasn't going to tool up a new emblem for the last few years of square bodies when they had stuff in the pipeline that would work.

Not to nit pick, but i believe factory location was driverside on tailgate above band. Thats where my factory emblem is on my ‘87 k5

It’s different depending on some variable I’m not aware of. Mines on passenger side on my dually and was on my 87 Burb, too, and I’m very certain both have been in their location since factory
