fantasy K5

I would like some input on a fantasy I have had for some time take a 76 to 89 K5 and put a 73 to 75 K5 top on it. I have an 84 Silverdo and a rusted out 73 with a good top. Cut the A pillars weld on the 73 top of the windshield frame and fill the bed rails behind the doors I think I am there. The doors can use 73 to 75 doors or what I am thinking of cutting the tops of the 84 doors making them full top doors. I think it would be worth time and expense. What do you guys think?

The 84 doors should work, just need the caps off the 73 doors to cover where the cuts are, but I am not sure if the glass is the same. The replacement quarter panels I got for my 73 were the same as the later, it was up to the installer to fill the bed rails.
