Anybody have any pros/cons from their personal experience about which are better/worse than the other?

Truck is a 1986 GMC 2500 Sierra Classic 2wd.

I use poly. It's a little more harse but for a k20, it's a non-issue. More important they last unlike the rubber that dry rots and falls apart. It's probably worse here in the desert heat. Tires dry rot here after about 5 years. I'm just getting to old to keep doing things over.

When I pulled the original rubber mounts out of my 85, they were in excellent shape, so went rubber this round too. Like the ride much better.

Knew a guy who designed suspension components for Eibach 30 yrs ago. Used to say to use poly when locating (like a torque rod) but rubber for ride or wear.

The ProThane poly cab mount bushings under my 69 C10 still look like new after 28 years. Some say they make the ride harsher than rubber mounts. However, for those who can feel the difference in an old pickup, you have a more sensitive butt than me! A 60s-70s Cadillac maybe, but not a truck.

I've also used poly A-arm bushings in an 82 C10 and a 55 Chevy car. No ride difference that I could detect. Just more responsive steering.

Anyone bought a set of rubber bushings lately? I looked around and didn't find any available.
I'll have to look to see where I did get them (LMC maybe?). Took me awhile to find them - they were out of stock - but I did and they were great quality.

Last I looked they were out of stock. (LMC). I just priced the rubber sections and a set would cost 210 plus. I'll end up using the poly bushings I have for that price.

I just placed two orders with LMC. Everything has gone up $5 to $25, depending on what you order. Pretty soon all these trucks I'm working on for the grand kids are going to be in the Ferrari realm for value!
