This is one of those ask 10 gear heads get 15 different answers questions.

For instance the smog pump thing. Some swear it robs power, some swear it doesn't and initial starts and driving while warming are much smoother.

So my previous owner was a real piece of something, bless his heart. No original exhaust or intake manifolds. So I do not run the pump or the egr. I do run the pcv and the evap canister, sort of the minimum.

With that said the truck runs but is nowhere near as good running as my dad's I drove 30 or however many years ago. All stock with way more miles on it back then than mine now. That thing was smooth as silk through all throttle delivery. Like I mentioned earlier mine has always been a hard starter. Middle throttle acceleration meh. Low speed or maintaining speed just putzing around pretty good. Hammer down and winding out, ******* loves it. But nothing like that all original.

There are quite a few things needing to be capped if you want to unhook them or you will definitely have a vacuum leak and it will run like **** if at all.

A 2 barrel with a 350? let's see it.
Here’s the best pics I could get.
