Hey guys. My buddy has a 1995 F-350 he is going to junk out. I told him to sell his front axle! So here it is!

Manual lock outs
Good shape
Engages and disengages as should
Only 50,000 miles!

I`m not sure if it will fit, if it does, You got You a good find.
is it the same ratio as what You now have in Your rear differential ??? if not, You might want to snag onto that too, change His ring/pinion onto Your differential.

If it is a high-pinion driver drop Dana 60 set up as SRW it is like gold to the NBS lifted community.

yea it's best for a solid axle swap on 88 and newer trucks.

it also depends on if it's ball joint type or king pin, maybe that's dodge only? but also if it's coils or leafs.

I know a guy that put one in a square, just put in a gmt 400 t case, and modified gmt 400 y pipe for pass side exhaust. installed heat sheilds along the frame to protect the fuel lines.

you sure it's a Dana 60? most of the mid 90's F350 used a dana 50 that looks the same just has a dana 44 carrier.

I think that's just the late 70's version with king pins and a certain perch spacing. The later ones aren't as desirable for some reason, besides having ball joints I think.

Incorrect sir! The F-250s had the D50 TTB (not even a solid axle) and the F-350s had D60s

Its got leaf fronts and Im "fairly" sure king pins. Its a VERY sought after axle in the Jeep market

yep ^^

It was the '80-'85 1/2 (early '86) F350's that used the D50 (TTB). Also the early Super Duty's had a solid axle D50 but that was later than '95.

I know i've watched that extreme 4x4 and they said the mid 90's fords used the dana 50 straight axle kingpin. they even showed cutting ends off it and building a hybrid. That's where I based idea that it could be a dana 50. I have a true dana 60 kingpin single wheel from a 79 F350 in my axle pile like everyone wants for axle swaps

There's got to be something that makes them less desirable. I'm not into Furds or Jeeps so I don't know. But I do know I see the late 70's d60 for $1200+, and then the later '87-95ish d60's go for $500 or less. And I could have swore they had ball joints.

92 and up Ford dana 60's did have ball joints and are a desirable axle for guys wanting to ditch the independent TTB axles and are used in other swaps. 78-79 Ford Dana 60's were the golden high pinion kingpin models, 98-02 F-250's and 350's used the Dana 50 solid axle while the Independent TTB Dana 50's were used from 1980-97. Until 2005 all ford Dana 60's were leaf sprung. Hope this clears any confusion.

I can't see your sig line from Tapatalk so I'm not sure if the plan is a swap into a chevy or not so I'll assume that's the intent. The 78-79 Ford Dana 60's will work on a Chevy. The spring perches are 1 inch wider (pin to pin) than the chevy 60's and the leafs will give enough to make it happen. Run with the late model NP241 (drivers drop) it can work but the oil pan and steering can be a problem. The bet bet is to adjust the motor mounts to shift it slightly to the passenger's side. the later model 60's will not work on the chevy as the housing is slightly more bias to the driver's side and the long side tube (passenger's) is longer. I was gonna do this on my current project with a 79 I came across but the extra messing around wasn't worth the high pinion reward. If the housing were re-tubed it will work but just about any diff would work if you re-tube it. Sweet diff but not sure how it's gonna work in a chevy unless it's a custom setup like coil-overs or coil conversion with a linked suspension. It should be worth $1k just about anywhere so by selling it or horse trading you should be able to get into the diff you need for not much (if any) more. Regardless, it's a steel of a price for what it is so good score.
