Has anyone ever come across one of these. I do believe that a company in Texas made them. They are an extended cab truck. I'be only seen them on the internet.

I've seen 3 or 4 extra cab show trucks at the Indy Jamborees. For me, they're interesting but awkward looking. The extra window always looks too small and most did not have the rear interior finished, usually bare cab walls with a speaker box to help cover up what's not there.

A guy in my home town who owned a wrecking yard drove a K10 that was extended cab, so far that is the only one I have seen in person.

There is a member here that has one, I am not sure if he has ever posted anything though.

There's a guy who's a member on here (doesn't post often) but he owns a few of them himself. He also posts (or at least used to) on the 73-87 forum. Cool trucks!!

I seen one up in Clearfield PA when I lived there, it was a 1/2 ton 2wd.

That red one you found is nice. GM really blew it not getting into that market in the late 70's/80's IMO.

I owend one and I have seen a few. The problem is the conversion was pretty shoddy. the rear had side facign jump seats adn the body seams werent sealed preoperly so it got corrosion inside it pertty easily under the carpet. sad really. Could have been something special.

I don't know about that. GM just figured that the crew cab was better and chose to offer just that. Having a real seat is much more useful than what came in any ext cab truck.

...And here we are, years later, crew cab trucks are becoming more common than the ext cab trucks (although with shorter beds). Looks like GM knew what they were doing after all... they just blew it by not offering the crew cabs as short beds:crazy:
