The duel tanks like the outside the frame rails would be good along with a tank from a Suburban, that`d give You about eighty gallons of fuel.
The Cummons 12 valve without computer control would be an excellent choise, for the power and the fuel mileage.
Stowing capabilities along with a portable tire dismounting device would be good too, along with some big tire boots and also them tubeless tire repair devices that the tire does`nt have to be dismounted.Climbing over scorio and volcanic type rocks is dangerous to tires and that is why I suggest the tire repair devices.
Also, why I mention the precomputerized Cummins is You do not want to be out in the middle of nowheres and have a puter blow on You.
That pickup in the pic with the popup camper is just way K00L.

Yeah I'm leaning towards the 12 valve for reliability and fuel mileage. I love the 454 but it just loves gas too much.

Don't forget the nv4500 behind the 8.1. I got some info from his build, when I did my 8.1 swap. Awesome rig!

Having an expedition truck would be a sweet thing. But I just don't know how much I would really be able to use it.

You'd just have to make a multi purpose use vehicle of it. Off Road Trail / Mud Truck, Zombie Defense / Expedition vehicle. Now if you're having just a Zombie Defense vehicle, and you let it sit waiting for the Zombies, yeah well then, you might not get to use it much.
I like this one. But I'd prefer a power glass tailgate instead of barn doors so you can shoot out the back window.

You phucking barn door hater. If Hannibal Smith could do it out of the A-Team van then it could be done with a barn door Burb. :flipthebird:

I don't hate barn doors. I don't mind driving a hearse. I just like the idea of having power rear glass better.
