Dizzy is stabbed. You mentioned needing to limit the vac advance. How do I go about doing that?

I'm baffled. I have power to the distributor, but none to the plug wires. Brand new dizzy.

I figured that Bart out. Best case scenario, the timing chain has jumped.

Also make sure the contact on the rotor is making contact to the center stub on the coil. I have had those lose contact before and leave me with no spark. And leave the vacuum advance unhooked and plugged on the carb side until you get it timed.

Had to clean the plugs again to get it to start. Runs like complete crap. Backfires every 3rd or 4th revolution. Only hitting on a few cylinders. Off to buy yet another set of spark plugs so we can run a compression test.

Pull the valve covers and see if the rockers are all moving the same or are loose.

I will have to wait until I can get get some more valve cover gaskets. These are already leaking and I don't think they will make the trip.

Bud I really think it's like I told you I'm that pm. A complain test will tell you as well as the rocker movement.

I will check that and a couple more things this week. I did acquire a 454 out of one of our old city fire trucks. It's an 86 the city bought brand new back in 86. 50k miles and I got it for the low low price of free. It's got a knock though, so it will need rebuilt.

Lol as long as it's not a conflict of interest with the city, being as how on on city council were good to go. I would rather get the 350 running so I have time to build the 454 like I want it. Idk, I'm just getting really fed up.
