Got my 1976 2wd 1/2 ton stripped down to the frame last fall then the weather moved in and effectively stalled the project. Been out during a warm snap we're having starting a to do list...
and I am stuck. First issue is locating good front cab mount brackets. These are riveted to the chassis. Second issue is is it possible to eliminate the vacuum assist canister as it just annoys me. About the "girl": had her since 1978 so she has no hidden history. Under the hood lives a dynoed at 500+ HP 454 with a muncie attached with a steel bell housing. A custom 2piece driveshaft twists the 12" Mickeys via a 3.90 to 1 1959(Olds?) Posi rear end. To cure wheel hop and spring wrap I built 54" ladder bars with sliders on the front end. Long winded intro..now how do I post on the other forums? I have a third issue that escapes me at the moment. Severe AAADD sufferer here. TIA, Rick.

Sounds like fun. Got t any pics? Hydraboost is an alternative to vacuum assist brakes.

You can get rid of the vacuum canister if you’re not running cruise or don’t have the complex HVAC control requirements that A/C trucks have. Otherwise, you need it. Welcome, by the way.

Long overdue but thanks for the welcome. I have, for the most part by accident, managed to post a couple pics awhile back. Not computer savvy here so most accomplishments are by shear luck!
