Im trying to take advantage of the Pepboys 25% off online purchases of $100 or more and just purchased the Edelbrock Performer Intake manifold part # 3704 and it suggests I pair this up with the camshaft kit #3702. I've been searching for reviews and all I could find is a review saying it sounds kind of stock but improves torque. Anyone here have any experience with these parts together or separately? The promo code is SECRET25 by the way if anyone needs parts over $100 with free shipping to store!

I personally never used a edlebrock camshaft in any of my motors. I have rebuilt a couple for friends and family using an edlebrock cam and I wasent impressed by the sound or power gain from it. I am a Lunati fan but I like the choppy idle. Edlebrock performer intake is the BEST dual plane intake for small blocks I believe. I like them much better than any other intake. Edlebrock does make good parts and they do have good cams the ones I used just didn't sound big enough for my taste. They do however have pretty good street manners. But everyone has their own flavor of a bumpstick. The people I built the motors for loved them so like I said it's all about opinion. Also the motors I used them in were ford 302s.

Well the intake you showed was for a tbi so the cam won't be too choppy no matter what you got. I'm not completely sure on what you plan on doing with your motor. There are people that convert those intakes to accepting a two barrel Holley so they can stay in certain motor classes. I'm not knocking on their cams cause they do have a slight lope but like I said I like choppy like muscle car chop. Lol. As long as it's computer compatible you should be ok. I'm not the best with tbi by no means because I have tbi problems myself and that's just with a rv cam.
