Does anybody know how much of a lift I need to fit semi wheels on a square. The tires measure to about 37". Which on a single wheel truck means 6-8 inches of lift. But could I fit it with less because the offset is different and the tires aren't as wide?

Can't say with the semi rims/tires, but my dually clears skinny 36's with 4 inches of lift. I'd bet the semi rims and adapters make for a wider track, meaning more lift like a SRW truck.

why? highdesertranger

Just cause, ya old stick in the mud!

Seriously though, it's a trendy thing to do in recent years. I don't think it serves much purpose besides looks, but I'd bet the tires never wear out.

I know a few that have bumped up to the 19.5" wheels and run a commercial tire. They get 3 times the tread life out of them and was a way to run a huge 5th wheel trailer of a heavy slide in camper without getting a dually truck. (up to something like 5,500 lbs per tire load range).
