Can some tell me how the dual batteries are connected on an 85 C10 with a 6.2 diesel. I think I know, believe to be in series. The batteries were missing when I bought the truck. Has a negative cable on the drivers side and a positive cable on the passenger side.

Ummm,... yeah,.... The grounds go to the block and the positives are tied together on the passenger side battery.

Wiring them in series would give you 24 volts. Don't do that.
