I havent put a set on a truck, but I put a set on a VW Golf I had and I felt a difference. Made me more comfortable for sure! If you need to replace the rotors anyways I'd go for it!

My personal opinion is they are not worth the expense for a street truck strictly in terms of performance gains. They might run a bit cooler, but unless you're on a track I doubt you've experienced brake fade with the standard rotors. You would notice more stopping power with a quality set of pads. They shed water better than a solid rotor, but nearly every car on the road has non-drilled brakes and everyone seems to be stopping just fine.

All that aside, with the right wheels they look awesome! If you're running some aftermarket rims that show a lot the rotor area, and you have some extra cash laying around, then go for it.

I did it to mine, when I lowered my truck, even changed to the 1.25 spindles, rotors and calipers. like skysurfer said, you wont notice a huge difference, they to perform a lot better in wet weather, the do keep your pads cooler. I'm very happy with the upgrade, IMO well worth the money.

This will probably be the next real money I spend on the 'burb. I've had the front brakes extremely hot while towing. Slotted and drilled would probably have made a lot of difference.
