I'm doing a power window/lock conversion on my '77, and the truck has no door conduits, nor the holes where they would go if it was so equipped. Can someone with a '77-80 truck take a pic and some measurements for me so I know where to drill the holes in the door and the front of the cab? Thanks!

There are dimples on the door and on the cab door for this. On the cab side the factory put in an oval hole. Most people just put in a round hole. I think the hole size is 1 3/4. Door hole is always round.

So on the cab just center your hole between the 2 inner dimples. The outer dimples are for your bolts on the boot.

On the door just center on the center dimple and the outer ones are for the bolts again

Here is a picture of what I did on my cab.

Thanks! I never even noticed the dimples. I'll pass this along to the body shop.

I got the conduit from a newer truck at the pick and pull, and just used the dimples as a guide to drill the holes. I do remember that for some reason the fittings on the two ends of the conduit are a slightly different diameter.

Yeah I think the factory made the hole on the cab oval shaped to make routing the wires easier. I was really feeling the lack of space when I routed my wires.

My aftermarket boots from lmc are round on both ends, so slightly smaller than the factory on the cab side.
