Door Weatherstrip Install

I purchased a complete weatherstrip set from Precision for the 77 K10 restoration. There are 2 of the door weatherstrip DWB 1111 73 in the kit. According to their website this seal is supposed to go on the top edge of the door with the tall portion of the profile facing the cab. But there is no attachment method on the seal or the door. How/where exactly does this seal go? Am I supposed to glue this on with weatherstrip adhesive? How do I know where to locate it on the door? Thanks.

Glue or double sided tape is my guess. Mine just looked like the 3M 1300 (I think that’s the number).

Originals actually had screw on two ends and the middle glued. Helps with wind noise. Weatherstripping adhesive would work, it sticks quickly as well.

It glues on. The factory has screw attachment points on each end but the rest is glued. I glued mine. I actually got the profile wrong on one door. Oh well it's 90° off. Still seems to work.

Here's how the OEM style mount. This was a discussion on another thread a while back. I believe mine have a different shape than the Precision style without the screw in ends.

1-1/2” above the bolt for the door handle and you can see where the front ends. These are original 1978 doors from a suburban and there are no screws or tabs on the rubber.

My 1980 doors have the screw on rubber. I had a 74 that had it only glued on.

Looking into getting new weather stripping for my truck currently, does this stuff HAVE to be ordered from a place like LMC, or is weather stripping pretty universal? LMC wants $80 for a full kit, but universal stuff is 10x cheaper...

I got it off eBay. It was like $20 or so for both doors. It was glue on.

Why glue it? It fits in there pretty tight. On the pinch weld seam.

Im talking about the top of the door weather strip.

Back to the title of the thread the cab weather strip, I got that in a kit off eBay as well that had all the door rubber. I did not glue the cab weatherstrip/seal in.

I feel like this is a totally different thread than what I first read. I was sober when I read this I think?

Sorry to revive an old thread but I just brought the front door seals (with the screw holes) for my suburban to help with wind noise and I am confused on what way these should go on. Craig, your picture shows these going on one way and LMC Truck shows these going on with the ends reversed (picture below). Can anyone offer clarification on this for me?
