Does anyone have a special tool or trick to replace the spring that hold the door open without taking the door off or removing the hinge? googled it but only one video on it and he removed the hinge.

Thanks
Hector

The other day when you asked this question, I looked and did not find my spring tool. Today I had more time and even though the 10mm socket was not with it, I found it.

Door and hinge still mounted, takes about 10 seconds. Hook the bottom, twist and push down. You can do it with a pair of pliers and push with a hammer handle, only it is a bit harder to do.

^ I think that's pretty much internet-wide.

Saw a tattoo a few days ago of a 10mm socket with wings, "Gone...but not forgotten".
