Direct power headlights need fuse?

I installed the aftermarket "direct power to headlights" wiring harness. The direct power to the headlights main power connect directly to the battery.

Since we now bypass where the headlights got their power OEM, was that circuit fused???

Do I need to fuse the new direct power to headlights circuit ???

The kit I installed came with a 30amp fuse. I thought the lighting came from a fusible link off the starter solenoid.

Yes. Fuse size is based on minimum gauge of wire in circuit.

Then 30 amp it shall be.
