Difference between k and a c truck/maybe my first square body

so This may not be the right area for the thread but I heard from a person that a k truck is 4x4 and a c means 2x4 so is this true or is this guy dumb plus there is a clean southern truck near me i am looking at so if you could clarify thanks

K is 4x4 until 87 then it’s V (K10-V10)

C is 2wd until 87 then it’s R (C10-R10)
Confused yet? Lol
