Difference between dashboards

Hi guys,
i would like to buy a new dash bur don‘t know where are the differneces. I have a k10 with a wrong Vin but it should be from 1975. At LMC i saw that there are dashes for the year 75-77 and 78-xx. Can someone tell me the differences?

75-77 doesn't have a hole for the vin number as the vin is on the drivers side latch post

Do you mean the Vin in the dashpad?
I mean the dash bezels. Sry for the wrong input!

I believe the wiper switch and maybe the headlight switche are in different locations.

Unless the 75 - 77 comes with the wood style trim , they sure look the same to me.

Different p/ns, though, so I guess it would take a phone call.

The only difference I see, besides lighting, color and angle (and the presence of the plastic knockout in the top right and bottom left) is the printed lettering for volume and selector over the radio knobs.

I called LMC and they said that there are some differences in the style but they can‘t say if there are differences in the dimensions. I think i will take the 75-77 and keep my fingers crossed! Thanks guys!

If you have the two in front of you, they are styled very differently. The wiper switch hole is in a slightly different location too.

So does your dash have a VIN on it? That will tell you the year of the cab, and what dash bezel will likely be the best fit.

My VIN is also located at the door post. I ordered the one till 1977 and i hope it will fit. It sucks to not have the correct Vin...
