I know a kid has a 85 86 long bed 1/2 ton with a 6.2. Came with a 700r4 ya that didnt last long! they put a th400 in it now

2wd, yes. Not sure about in a shorty though...

My 86 that used to be a diesel was a 2wd long bed. I've seen on the local CL a 2wd short with the diesel but I don't believe the short bed was original to that truck, it also had a short 3" stack cut through the hood with one of those tractor flap covers on it.

I've seen 2wd 1/2 ton diesels but they were all long beds, didn't think SWB diesel was an option though.

I have what’s left of a 82 2wd longbed diesel that my uncle bought new

They used it for towing a camper

Had to be a real slug with a camper hooked on the back bumper

I think i found a short bed diesel it have the 6.2 as it should the only thing is i cant tell from photos what bed it has altho it had 4x4 https://www.carsforsale.com/vehicle/details/15810284

not realy but it is a short bed and a diesel just not 2wd nor do i own it
