I have a 6.5 NA diesel. I am halfway through putting a turbo on it. I am at the point of turning up the fuel screw. I know it’s supposed to be turned 1/4 turn for turbo application. However one of the three bolts that holds the top cover on has snapped off. Does this cover hold much pressure in it? Would I be fine to put a little gasket maker around it and just use the other 2 bolts? Is the rubber gasket that’s already in the cover enough for it not to leak?

About 10-15 psi in normal operation.

Give it a try, but as opposed to "a three-legged stool never wobbles," a two-screwed cover probably won't seal.

Ok, I’ll probably try something along those lines. Thanks for the info

If it didn't break off flush, you might be able to Vise-Grip it and use some heat on the housing. Unfortunately, they usually break off flush.

I've drilled a lot of broken screws out of those housings over the years. It's challenging because steel screw and soft aluminum with little margin for error. But it can be done.

Thread size is 10-24 so a #25 drill will get you down to the threads.
