Dent removal

Does anyone have any tricks to removing a medium sized dent? Bought a set of front fenders with almost no surface rust from a wrecking yard, but it has a dented area. Not very noticeable, but if I can get rid of it I would like to. I have heard that you can place a 2x4 flush on the outside of the dent and use a hammer to lightly hammer it out, but I wanted to hear if others had tricks to get it done.

Do you have anyone near you that does paintless dent repair, around here it's like $40 to $60

Even if you push a dent out you'll have high spots around where the dent was, that's why your need a hammer and dolly, or pull what you can of it then fill it and paint

Buy a body hammer set from a place like Harbor Freight...they're inexpensive and include everything you need to finesse out dents. If the dents have creases....thats a different issue. You could also use a slide hammer and some body filler and block sand.

I'll get a picture of the dent next time I'm with the truck (not stored at my house.) It's not noticeable in the pictures I have of the fender.

I'll look into the body hammer set. I had heard about using a standard hammer to work out the dent with a 2x4 on the opposite side that your hammering. I just didn't know if others had done it or how well it'd work
