I've got a few for sale right now. Prices include shipping to the lower 48.

All mirrors include a short wiring harness, temp sensor probe (where applicable) and instructions. All have been tested and work great.

1 auto-dimming single display compass/temp mirrors (I actually prefer these, the dual displays have too large of a space for the display and can create a nice blind spot). - $35
attachment.php

1 auto-dimming with compass only. From a Cadillac. - $22

1 auto-dimming with dual display compass/temp. Has OnStar buttons but they are not needed for the mirror functions. - $25

1 auto-dimming, plain, no compass/temp. - $15

These are GMsquarebody prices.

One of these days, I hope to get one of those Temp/Compass with the Onstar buttons. I've thought it would be cool to use the BLUE button for something. Granted, it won't run alot of power thru that switch, but you can use it to activate a relay to some security features. I'm not giving away all my secrets though. Just use your imagination. If I said then everyone would know.

If you had electronic cut outs it'd be cool to make the OnStar button open them up so that you're running open headers and then press it again to go back to closed exhaust :)

Homelink would be even better yet. I'd actually use that... someday. Both my door openers are homelink compatible.

I've also thought of using that button to retrofit Overdrive activation for one switch, and/or Converter Lock up with the 2nd one. I've also thought of using those switches in a Vortec conversion swap, to be used for like Tow/Haul Ass mode. Have dual programing on the Prom chip. The initial tune be for economy or standard use, hit the blue switch on the mirror and go into performance mode. There's Options Ya Know. Or hmmmmmmm, how about electric fuel pump doesn't come online until the switch is activated or how about..... So there are are some ideas to get the wheels turning, but that's not all my ideas. Just keep in mind, Onstar switch is always one a thief will avoid.

That too. There's options, just plan on using a Relay since the switch and wiring aren't capable of a big load. You could do a performance using that without a relay.

Oh, and to let you guys know, any proceeds from the sale of these here will go back in to the forum as I will be buying squarebody factory parts catalogs, service manuals, wiring diagrams, press kits and other documents as I find them.

Hmmm, tempting. The mirror in my 84' is a piece of ****, and I'm swapping headliners here in a bit...perfect opportunity to run wiring for a mirror. I'll ponder it and let you know!

You should definitely do it man. I did this mod recently in my '77 and love it!! It's a minor mod but makes a big difference IMO

One side says "comp" and the other side says "temp" so you can switch displays :handshake:
