im working with a 81 GMC. My delay wipers do some crazy things, sometimes the work, sometimes the don’t, sometimes the come on by themselves, sometimes the won’t shut off. My solution? I’m upgrading to a later wiper motor, steering column, etc with the delay on the turn signal. Easy enough, other than the big hole left in the dash from the factory wiper switch. My truck has no a/c, I would assume that is the only difference? I also need a bunch of the factory screws that hold the bezel in place. Pretty sure GM didn’t use drywall screws!! Thanks

the control for the delay is under the steering wheel in the later models so you will need the wiper motor and the pig tail for it.

I have the motor, delay module, pigtail, etc, just need a decent dash bezel. My search continues!

I don’t know, what year is your truck? Maybe GM ran out of the proper screws the day our trucks were built, and figured drywall screws are better than nothing.

I’m guessing that’s not the case!!

The dash screws look a lot like drywall screws, just with smaller heads and a little shaped washer under them. Are you sure that's not them?

Drywall screws must be the go-to for the average DIY types when they work on trucks. I had a Burb that was chock full of them.

There were a few of the proper screws, most of them were definitely drywall screws. I guess whatever works. I would prefer to have the proper screws when this goes back together.
