Has anyone used a coverlay Dash cover over their original cracked Dash, or is it the same as a Dash cap just a different name?

Other than color matching being a problem, works ok. Have one on my 91 suburban

Is it a coverlay dash cover or the dash cap Dash cover or are they the same?

I believe they are about same. The color is different (medium blue on one is different than medium blue on other) I ordered from lmc first, then got from Rock Auto instead (medium blue from lmc was too dark)
