Hello all - I have a square body with CUCV front and rear axles under it. The rear has disc brakes and I am learning that these must be a bolt on conversion? The trucks original parking brake cable is rolled up and not being used. I have looked where to connect it and am finding nothing. Just wondering if the experts on here can help be confirm that these must be a bolt on kit and no parking brake is available.

if this is the case, can anyone recommend something I may try, are those drive line parking brakes worth trying? It does have a divorced np205 transfer case if that helps any with options to try.

Attached are a few pictures, I may need to provide some with the wheels off…

Yes, someone converted to rear disk at some point.
You can swap the calipers for the 70s Cadillac ones. They have a lever that will connect to the original ebrake setup.
Try this site for more info.

Are you sure it’s a cucv? They never had a divorced tcase and only a very few special models had a married 205.

Just saying in case something misinformed you about your truck.

The NP is original from the 1985 Chevy, it has a Cummins 4BT in it with an Allison transmission. The transfer case has been divorced with twin sticks etc. I mentioned it incase there was a gadget out there for a parking brake that attaches to the transfer case…

Lugnut 4x4 has the exact kit I need for the Dana 60 rear end, already have it in the shopping cart. I’ll post a follow up with pictures once it is in place.
