I have been working to get The '87 ready for its annual trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. My favorite ex brother in law is ready to go with his Trans Am, I made a few minor adjustments to it last night.
Who else is going this year? It's a wonderful event, last year had over 10,000 registered participants with 1989 being the cutoff year. That makes for a mind boggling week of automotive goodness.

I will be taking my '87:

Chances are that if you see my Truck the Trans Am will be right there with it:

I’m looking forward to seeing your truck again this year, I saw it in Ocean Springs last year - really nice!

I’m taking my (not very pretty) Blazer to the Trucks n Taco’s gathering in Long Beach on Friday. I may go to OS on Thursday (without the Blazer).

About to leave for The Mississippi Gulf Coast... A road trip is a lot easier to pack for in a modern crew cab truck.

I walked around Ocean Springs and the Long Beach today, lots of amazing cars and trucks! I didn’t see @Redfish truck but there’s so many it’s easy to miss stuff.

I’m heading back to Long Beach tomorrow with my Blazer for a full size truck gathering (“Trucks n Tacos”).

I dunno...I have a long bed crew cab and there's never enough space for everything to go in the cab without something ending up on my lap(riding shotgun) or on the back row floorboard. I gotta get a topper and then it'll be like having a one ton Burb.

OS is great but if you have the time the Long Beach gathering is worth the drive.
Going to spend time with my 93 year old uncle. He lives in the Villa Maria apartments (the 13 story building in OS) so we’ll walk around there, but it’s mostly up to the wife and daughters.

May run 90 down to BSL to get a picture of my daughters with the Publius Pray historical marker (my 4th great grandfather)

Well, I just got home about an hour ago and I am wiped out. The Truck did great. A lot of time spent idling with the AC going and very little forward movement and the temp gauge never gets above its normal spot.

As usual I saw some truly wonderful vehicles, met some truly wonderful folks and had a great (but expensive) time.

I took a few pics but nothing does this event justice besides actually being there.

I will post a few pics with some explanations/notes but that will take a while.

For now, this is how we started:

Sunday morning Gulfport is The Place to Be so we had a quick breakfast and headed over. We found parking for The Truck and The Trans Am and went exploring.

Brother-in-law and BigUn will be showing up in some of the pics. I apologize for them blocking the view.
