Cruise gone crazy

Anyone willing to tackle a cruise problem with many different issues. Always kinda works so it’s not a fuse issue. It will always set and work for a minute but then the fun starts. Some times while on cruise it just falls off and won’t come back at all, it can do it at any speed. If you are using the cruise and want to speed up and give it the motion to pick up the additional speed it will take off and not stop. If you want to slow it down and press the center but at the end of the stalk sometimes it will slow down and sometimes it will speed up without stopping. Any help is appreciated.
