My ‘84 got wrecked sitting at the shop so it’s going through a complete restoration.
New color will be Chevy Sharkskin metallic. Getting a 4/6 drop.
I’m torn between a 2” cowl or keeping the stock hood with the ornament.
Also can’t decide between stock wheels or the ones pictured.
Bumper guards are being removed and grille and bezels will be chrome.

Well, welcome, first of all.
Second, ouch wtf that’s horribly unfortunate. Hope the shop is stepping up and not playing games if it got smashed in their parking lot. (Assuming it wasn’t a 3rd party damage).
As to your plans for the truck? IMO those are your plans, do what you want.

That truck looked very nice before it got smacked. Not digging the wheels. Either hood would look good. I hate hood ornaments. Just my opinion. Hope you get it fixed back up soon.

While I'm not a fan of those particular wheels on a silver truck, I do like bigger wheels and ability to run larger brakes.

I'm hit or miss on cowl hoods. Does it serve a purpose to fit tall deck motor, supercharger clearance, etc? If not, I think it's cleaner with out and without the emblem as well. Just my opinion

Also, clean bumper guards are in demand. Don't let them disappear at the shop.

Lol, you’re right.
Stock hood unless the engine don’t fit under it. Wheels,I voted stock only cause the visions aren’t my favorite. But cool aftermarket wheels is my vote

It was 3rd party damage. Dodge 2500 with no brakes. Thankfully he had insurance.

I like the look of a cowl hood.

Welcome from Central Ohio. Do both hoods and swap out once in awhile. I have the 4” cowl and stock with ornament for my 86.
