The original rims on my ‘75 K25 were 16.5” 8 lug split rims. I went down to the junkyard and took five 16” 8 bolt rims off a couple of mid 80’s GM trucks and have used them ever since. 16” tires are much easier to find, and therefore usually cheaper. I pulled them myself, so they charged $25 per tire and rim.

If you want to keep it as a high GVW truck, make sure you buy load rating E tires, not light truck tires. E rated tires are also relatively easy to find - even Walmart carries them. 245/75R16E will usually be about the same diameter as your original tires.
I think most 3/4 tons in the 70’s with 16” wheels came with 7.50-16’s, which are actually closer to 235/85R16’s.

265/75R16’s are about the same diameter as the 235/85’s, but they are wider and look better (and are more stable).

I may be a weirdo, but I've got a thing for old style truck tires. The old traction type treads were awesome looking. I have a few kicking around simply because I like them.

I have a couple that are damn near unused but clearly that old. I have no doubt they are as safe as when made and stiff. Lol. Cracked rubber? Tube. Chunk missing? Eh. Baking in the sun? Unlike my skin clearly has been to no detriment.
You’ll like my replacement free two tires I’m putting on soon lol..
