Nice to hear you're still riding. It's been 8 yrs for me and I miss it, well... a lot more than women! So I don't have the regular aches and pains from riding and taking dirt samples... yet I have more pain without this level of exercise. I still plan to get back into it. Now that I'm in my 60's I would fare well racing off HS. But I need to hurry with that dream as many of the experts I was fortunate to ride with will soon be in their 60s and well **** I'll have to race them... and get waxed!
Yeah, scrambles are a lot of fun.

That was the EXC model I suggested. EXC pertains to KTM... not sure what the Husqy designation is.

These bikes btw can easily be boosted to some 70 hp with no problems other than a measly $650. And these mods makes the bikes more reliable too. Win/Win.... Spin/Spin !

They’re sweet, but $12k + tax, etc.

It’d be $14-15k out the door...

Have ridden since I was fifteen, and have had lot of motorcycles, some with over 100,000 I put on them. Big Kawasaki fan, Concourse, 500 Ninja, Now Kawasaki Versys. Had it seven years, so time to sell and try something else. I set mine up as a mini sportouring, and fairly competent. Tall Cee Baily wind shield, geared up some, have several types of packs, tank bags etc. Excellent machine, and have done lots of forest service trails, and 80 mph cruse all day. Not as comfy as the ol' connie, but light, handles, and 50 miles a gallon. Just about have a 1972 Honda 250 Motosport done, my ol' foggie bike, but low seat height, light, dual sport, and a six speed trans. Here is a pic. Like the KTM Duke....Honda has only 2500 original miles!!

Pulled the trigger on a commute/play bike yesterday. Bought it new so let the mods begin. Plans are full exhaust, modified airbox, FCRmx carb that I have sitting in my shop and when it hits it’s first valve adjustment interval at 15,000 miles I’ll upgrade the cam.

Got a good dusk shot near one of the river crossings.

Been a while since looking at bikes to ride. Looks like a dirt bike with road tires on it. How long is the commute?

They call them supermotos. It’s been a race class for a couple decades now. I own another one that’s really high strung. This ones more of the Corolla and the other one is the supra.

The commute is longer than most would want to sit on this. It was either a supermoto or a super sport bike. Everything else is boring to me and I’d end up not riding it. Id end up killing myself on a super sport. I push the limit on two wheeled stuff, so I don’t trust myself with 200hp between my legs. That’s for the track only, haha

I commuted on my other supermoto a lot, so I know what I’m getting into comfort wise. I have a lot of ass meat from squatting all the time, so it doesn’t bother me...

Nice bike!!
Thanks! Put a hundred twisty miles on it today. Next week I’m putting on a full exhaust, modding the air box and a different carburetor on it. That’ll get me another 10 or so hp. Then stage 2 cams later in the spring should get me another 5. ~55hp on a light bike is pretty fun.
