Anybody have any recommendations of a safe way to clean cloth seats without risk of damaging them? I hope this is the right place to ask this. New to site. Thanks. (Actually mine are kind of soft, fuzzy feeling material. Don't know what it's called but I want to clean it but don't want to risk damaging it.) I bought an '88 with 79k original miles and can't afford to mess these up and have to recover.

Just dirty, or trying to get stains out? Regular ol fabric cleaner does a good job for a lot of stuff.

I did mine with a little gizmo called a Carpet Butler. I rented it from Ace Hardware, and it did a hell of a job.

1987 GMC Jimmy, I like that idea. Never thought about a regular carpet cleaning machine. What cleaner (liquid) did you use? I don't have any stains just wanted to clean them up as much as possible. Thanks everyone!

They sold me the fluid that it uses, and it’s also Carpet Butler brand. You just need the solution that goes in the machine and no stain stuff since you don’t have stains.

Most carpet machines that use a vacuum to extract the water use a cleaner that is good for upholstery. I have used it on several cars in the past with good results.

I guess as soon as the weather permits I'll be going to ACE! The seats are in great shape just wanted them to look their best. Thanks again.
