Living in Wyoming where it can get to triple digits in the summer and -25°F in the winter I have to adjust my choke twice a year: once in the fall and once in the spring. Using the credit card method, that is to vertically place a credit card in the carb and using that as a guide for how much the choke should be open at a cold start, has been very reliable for me. Thats on an Edelbrock with an electric choke. Next carb I'm getting is going to have a manual choke. A lot of people out here say its best for the wide range of temperatures we experience here.
