Cheap set of 16 inch 8 lug rims

I have multiple trailers and my truck that all take the same lug pattern and it would be nice to have a new set to replace my mistmatched colors/rusted-ness. allow more tire options and swapping so i dont have to leave the truck or trailer without a wheel, etc. And I owe my dad a rim. I was wondering if there are any sources that sell them at good prices and are legit.

I dont need them to be fancy or perfect. Just functional for work.

I would rather have these than the split rims im trying to avoid using.

They use generic pictures on their website. So the wheel will look like that- but will have 8 lug holes.

My truck came with 16.5” split rims, which are dangerous to work on. I went to the local yard and got five 16” 8 bolt rims for $25 each (cheaper because I pulled them myself). Just make sure they are all from GM trucks, which should be the same width and offset, and ensure there was no side impact to bend them. Since I have a K25 HD I used 10 ply 245/75R16E tires, which are very close to the original stock height and load rating.

Pro Comp has the best deals for “Basic” new wheels. I was gonna order some 16.5x8 from them. Only thing you have to watch out for is the back order length. Those wheels I wanted were on back order for a year.

@AuroraGirl i just bought some Pro Comp 16x8 Steel wheels today for $100 per wheel but that included mounting and balancing my tires. I got 4.5" backspace which give under full lock about a 3/8 inch clearance between the tie rod. Its tight but not as tight as the factory K10 wheels. My truck is an 82 K10 and the tires are 285-75-16.

So if I understand right, a K10 would be a half ton chevy 4x4... did those have 8 lug? Or maybe you do some offroading and got the beefier axles? Either way, half ton, ok. Do you have any lift that would affect clearance? And when you say 4.5 inch backspace, is that you measuring thw wheel when you put it on or is that just the advertised backspace? I guess i didnt consider that, because quickly I could see too much backspace causing clearance issues.

@AuroraGirl they are 6 lug but available in 8 lug as well in a 16x8. My main concern was clearing the tie rod and brakes. I am sitting on 33's and i might have to do an inner notch job on the front fender. The rear sits inside the utility bed just fine

So your thick tires made it just fit, so what you were saying is stock or close to stock is gonna fit good?

@AuroraGirl the Pro Comps I got are advertised 4.25" back space. The rims clear everything i need them to and only poke a little more than stock. I have 285-75-16 which are basically 33" tires and i will have to trim the fender slightly to clear under full suspension compression. If i put a tire thats equivalent to a 31" it would clear fine and no trimming would need to be done. My truck is not lifted as of yet. My advice? Buy 1 wheel from Procomp 16x8 with 4.25" backspace. Test fit it with your truck and trailers. The cost to return rims that dont fit (20% restocking fee most the time) will be much higher than the cost of one wheel to test fit.

Good idea, and im not tied to a certain tire size as I just have free tires on my truck atm and would just put something on next that fit.

The wheels that came on my truck are from a Ford.
They fit like champs.
I believe up to like 1998 all the 8 lug trucks came with the same bolt pattern.
We have a Pick-N-Pull junkyard close by and they often have sales on wheels and tires pulled from the yard.
The last set I pulled out of the yard were chrome and cost us $12.50 each out the door.
Put our tires on them and they do just fine.
