I have a 4x4 '87 suburban with 350TBI, 700r4 transmission and a NP 208 transfer case. At 65 MPH (from GPS) the speedometer reads about 56 MPH.
….reading on the web, it looks as if there are different colored gears that go into the transfer case.
So do I pull the cable out from the TC and see what color the gear on the cable and inside the TC is?
then use a speedometer calculator to get the next higher or lower speedometer gear (driven gear")...?

if it matters the axle ratio is 3.71/1 and the tires are 31"
