It's cool alright. Need to find a pistol grip or something for it tho .. Have an 18 1/16 in. 12 GA. too

My dad took this mailbox off my grandparents house right before it was tore down in 1970 , I'm sure its older than that ? Any idea how old ??

I've seen the cardboard unit go for a hefty price on a couple sites...

This is good to know The one in mine looks brand new and it's definitely coning out. Guess I'll search around for prices.
I'd also make one myself if I was going to get one. This cardboard doesn't look like it would hold up - then again, mine does look great.

I have a vinyl/leather pouch deal that hangs from the back of the cab. Goes all the way across the back, has a bunch of pockets in the front and has a padded pouch in the middle to hold a long gun. It’s seen better days though, and I’d rather have a shelf system for more usable space. I just use my rack for my rifle.

What brace are you referring to? the one that runs horizontal?
this is a double layer that is commonly used to fasten to since it shouldn’t protrude out the back of them cab. I say shouldn’t because I’m sure someone out there will try a 3” self tapping screw and feel like the did a job well done.
