can anyone tell me what has been done to this suspension?!?

i got some stock replacement shocks from an auto parts store and even fully extended they didn’t have enough reach in the back to be installed. so i could only assume that they would’ve been bottomed out 24/7. the front shocks seemed to bolt in okay.

i’ll post some pictures of the front and rear suspension but can anyone tell me what has been added to the suspension to make it taller? i don’t know what these trucks came with from factory. right now they truck is about 1” or so taller in the rear so i was thinking of removing the overload springs and keeping the 2” lift block in the rear

I see a two inch lift block and what appears like lift springs for a 3/4 ton.

So maybe a 4" lift kit.

You need 4" lift shocks

So maybe a 4" lift kit.

You need 4" lift shocks
does the front look like factory suspension? i think there are a couple small plates under the springs but i can’t tell for sure

Most 4x4 lift kits come in 2" spacing

A 4 inch lift kit will be 4" more in the rear and 2 in more the front.
Usually most 4" kits are higher new front springs, and new rear springs with a 2" lift block.

The rear immediately appeared thicker than a stock 20 series pack by my eye.

The front does look like it was replaced with a little thicker.

True 3/4 tons sit a little above positive arch. Those have a bit more than that.
You might notice a longer than normal pitman arm, or steering arm.
I see brake line relocation tabs haha.
Usually by 4" the stock lines are getting stretched lol

The little plates you're referring to are probably pinion shims to correct front driveline angle.

A 4" is about the safest lift that requires no driveline extension and no radical changes.

6" and up is where stuff starts needing changed.

I wouldn't be surprised if your transfer case crossmember might have polyurethane spacers, maybe.

Definitely a 4" lift by my eye.

Which btw, your fronts are overextended.

If you drive thru a hole that's gonna be a sight when it pulls that shock apart.

You need longer shocks up front too, I'm afraid.

sounds good, do you think a 4” lift shock would be good all around? is there anything else you’d recommend?

this is how the truck sits now on 33x12.50 tires
