Cam sounds?

I've never heard a cam make a sound before, not even a peep!

No, they suck, but if it's what you got, it's what you got. I ran them on my 406 for years. Still on it now, that guy's down in Atlanta doing burnouts happy as a pig in ****.

Mortec used to have them listed as "the best of the smog heads". They are a good option if the budget is low.

I'd like to get a pair of these, plenty of room for plenty of valve lift...

Those look like a good deal. I wonder how the quality compares to GM heads. That's about the same amount of $ GM used to charge for theirs.

What are a decent pair of non-centerbolt heads?

They are the best stock head without changing things or getting into aftermarket heads. I honestly can't justify spending much on small block heads anymore, as cheaply as an LS can be swapped in.

Buyer beware...
I believe these are cheap import casting and parts. For sure at the very least they need to be leak tested and valve stem clearance.
Check surface for true.
I'm just saying don't think buy and run 'em... you or better yet your builder needs to go through everything.

I agree everything needs checked but read the reviews, sounds pretty stellar. I hate the branding on the ends of the heads though but I would run em.

Hey aluminum’s are coming way down in price I thank all the LS guys for that as I do for big block stuff coming down in price. Nice banner. I just noticed it.
