better metal, tighter seams, straighter lines, definately ford.
I wonder if ford didnt change up the construction mid gen on that box style. The one trailer has a floor much like a square, thin and not safe or secure feeling while the other seems... just such a good bed. Kinda like a 1990s chevy or ford, that sturdy feeling in comparison.

dunno . around 1985 they all sucked big time. trying to meet carb and epa requirements , they were paper thin, they spent so much money trying to satisfy the govt, even the paint was thin.
