Cab Corner, Rocker Joint Question

Can anyone tell me if the joint in the circle was attached in any way or just seam sealed?

These are aftermarket patches and the way they're stamped they'll only be getting seam sealer, but was thinking they could have been spot welded from the back side, maybe

Should be spot welded where they come together with the folded over part.

Which part folds over, the corner? Mine doesn't but there's enough material to maybe make it work.

Edit; or are you talking about the very bottom flange/ lip?

i don’t know the correct answer here, but I ended up seam sealing mine.

On the backside there should be some overlap to weld to. On the front seam sealer

I've only ever seam sealed that area where they overlap.

A swipe of seam sealer from the factory, but on my 79 I Welded that seam Solid and then ground it flush.
