Was the 2nd generation C10 fitted with Cargo springs at all? If not, is there an after market version available.

Define cargo springs. You mean just heavier duty springs? Are you looking for coils or leafs? They were offered with both

Heavy Duty. I thought they were branded as ‘Cargo’?

I’m after Coils. There are no leaf springs on mine.

Cheers

On the 60's series trucks with rear coil suspension, there was an option to get "half-leaf" springs that rode on the back of the trailing/control arm and mounted to the frame. I don't think you'll find any for sale new. May have to provide a spring shop the design and have them make a set. If you have a 1976 C10, I wasn't aware of them coming with rear coil suspension. Take some pics so we can see the truck's suspension.

Interesting. And not like the 60's series trucks rear suspension. You could get heavier duty coil springs, but it makes the rear bouncy unless you carry a load everywhere.

This is the old style. This truck doesn't have them, but I have one that does have them, and they'll get swapped over before I get this one running again.
Yours looks to have a 4 link style.

Wait, that's a car. You have a 1976 C10 on your profile, asking about 67-72 trucks but posted a picture of what appears to be an A-body Chevelle/etc?

Going back to the 67-72 suspension, I have not run across any heavier springs for a half ton because pretty much everyone drops them. You'll likely need to find a spring shop that can make you some. Or adapt a helper bag kit to the truck for hauling heavier loads.

I remember for some crazy reason they called them cargo coil springs I put a set of them on my old 79 f150 many years ago but they are just heavy than normal coil springs

Interesting. It may be that it’s not a C10? I have no VIN and the cab on the chassis is a 3100. It might explain why I’m having trouble finding shocks? This is the shock…

.
Just googled the Chevelle shock and it has the same fitting as on the left of the photo. I’m guessing the C10 never had that. Are there any other ways of checking it’s a Chevelle? Sorry, to be slightly off topic but it will help when trying to find the correct Spring.

Thanks for your help.

Im not real knowledgeable on the GM A body stuff, but that certainly is a car setup and a 10 bolt car rear.

What is the lug pattern? GM cars should be 5x4.75”
