1978 Chevrolet 1500 regular cab Long Bed $850 KY Shelbyville

"1978 k10 with 80s front clip. I have the motor pulled out of it because it spun a bering. The motor is apart but I have all the parts for it. It has a 4 speed in it. I have all the parts and bolts for the truck. There's no holes in the frame or much rust on it. I do have a title for it. I also have a new flywheel for it also. Be a good project. 800 obo"

I believe "not much rust on it" was still referring to the frame?

But you never know. The rocker panels being gone is just a given in some areas, so maybe that was actually in reference to the body.

Here is today’s musings. I’ve been on a casual search for a while now for a nice steel top workbench/welding table. There is a fellow about an hour away that has some various ones for sale, now this guy has probably 200+ items listed on Craigslist, all kinds of stuff (leaning more to junk/scrap iron really), literally have been seeing the same ads renewed for years. Not kidding. This welding table in particular has been for sale for over two years at this point. I have a screenshot from this time of year in 2023 of the listing. Same price, photos, everything.

Shoot him an email today to inquire and this is how it went:

Don’t think I was accusing him of putting a false address, I’ve always verified details like that and never have had a seller (or buyer) be offended like that before. Typos happen, whatever, I like to make sure I’m going to the right place before making a 2+ hour round trip. Especially in more rural areas where the maps like to be incorrect or whatever.

It is starting to make sense why his listings have been up for years and doesn’t seem to sell anything.

Now to make this even better, is this guy lists stuff in Staunton, IL, and Highland, IL they are about 30 miles apart, some of the stuff says one location, but you can tell by the background the pictures were taken in the other location. So there is a real potential for it to be the incorrect address.

Some people. I don’t feel like I’m out of line here? I’ll be passing on this one. Maybe two years from now when it’s still for sale, I’ll send him another email to celebrate the anniversary of it not selling.
