What's the deal with this "private movers/cashiers check" scam? I've had this **** happen too and I Pretty much pulled the same thing as you did here only not nearly as funny. I'm assuming they try to eventually get your bank info at some point in the process. Have those wacky Nigerians found a new hustle?

I've had a couple of responses to Craigslist ads recently wanting to send me a number to verify that I am real, which is another scam. Really, you need to verify that I am real when you are asking about a $25 item.

Could have, but given that the alternator **** itself after a few days and other factors, and that the cost of gas plus the plane ticket would have probably exceeded 900 snackers- glad I didn't.

Other than the alt, though, she probably would have made it!

I recently got a quote for $1900 from Washington to Ohio. So really, if looking at a 20k truck, an additional 2k for shipping really isn't that much.
