Really suckin ***** when all these nice rigs is coming by and there`s just too much todo with what a person already has,I`m on a them what thinks I can fill the yard with projects and "SOMEDAY" get them all domne instead of taking ONE and doing it real good and at a faster pace, then get another one, but, OOOOHHH NOOOOO not Me,it`s a good thing the wifey says NO MORE VEHICLES until You get rid of some of what You already have,so,I scrapped several MGs and stowed the parts, now the yard is more manageable but I still do`nt have enough dollars to finish up with some of the others.
Teh MG is next,it need a thorough disasembling,paint,engine rebuild,trans and drive train too,a REAL restoration,not a just a mechanical one.:893karatesmiley-thu:fish_h4h:

This would be a great deal if it was a turbo motor, would be a pain in the ass to find an intake and manifold.

Sumting tells me, That's a damn good deal. If I had the cash and it was closer, I'd be on it. I'd love to have a 4BT and a manual trans with OD just to make a DD out of a 3/4 ton 2wd Pick Up, and expect 17 city, 23 hwy out of it.

It wouldn't be the fastest thing around, and wouldn't be able to tow a back hoe, but I bet it would tow a 1000lb tandem axle trailer and a 2 ton truck, or 5000lbs just fine with some 4.10 gears in the rear end.

Just did some research and found that the internals are entirely different on most of the non turbo 4bt's, and not compatible with boost :shitsweak: But I'm with you on that, there is some serious mpg potential in those engines.

Ahhh, that sucks ass. But sure glad to know now before I went and bought a 4BT with intent to add a Turbo.

I guess if cheap enough, I'd get one, but I've just never been thrilled with the CUCV Blazers. 3.08 Gear Ratios w Gov Lock in the back, Turbo400/NP208. Blehhh, just not a good powertrain IMO, unless you're thrilled about the 6.2 for a fuel sipper. Should do real well on the highway, but just don't see it being very aggressive at wheeling, rocking or mudding without a major powertrian swap.
