Hated my LQ1 convertible at times but it was a teenager's car before I got it. She beat the hell out of it.

Nah...$400 I could stomach if I was in the market knowing that yours is probably rust free but $1000 is stupid! I'd better get the whole truck (or at least most of it) for that much.

 For Damn sure. Selling the K1500 takes alot off the table for me as far as decision making. For example, that bed probably isn't for sale now. That truck consolidation with the 2 brown trucks is prolly going to be my C20 now, since the VIN on my C20 matches that frame, then the blue body that's on the C20 now, prolly going to be the K10 body now. Hopefully with only 2 trucks, decisions won't be so hard to make. Until a 4x4 Burb or K5 come along. :happy175: Cuz that's actually what I want. Burb, K5 or Crew Cab. Seems the Burbs are more plentiful and reasonably priced still.

Ummmmm, guys??????

That's actually what rust free beds go for up here. I was just lucky enough to get mine for 100$ from a neighbor.

One of you northern folk need to come down here and pick the junkyards and CL clean of $200 rust free beds, cabs, OEM sheetmetal and haul it all back up north.

What? No U-Haul??

A member from MI is planning on doing it I hope. He needs a few things for his truck and wants OEM. I told him to grab a U-Haul and bring it down, get a trailer here and fill that fugger to the brim. Keep what you want and sell the rest. I guarantee free sheetmetal for the truck, a free trip to Texas and likely a few grand in your pocket when you're done.

Uhaul rental for X days plus fuel costs make a significant dent in potential profits :(

I haven't either to be honest. The rental is probably pretty reasonable but I'm guessing that those trucks get horrible mpg  You'd definitely have to buy a lot of parts to optimize the amount of profit you can make to make it worthwhile. Maybe worth thinking about especially as high as some of the prices are up here for stuff that should be much cheaper.
