If I never have to take a column apart again it will be too soon. Complete pain in the arse and the little bits always like to disappear or fall down the column. Next thing you know tools are flying and i'm making up new curse words.

Whats so bad about them? I went completly thrue the one in my monte.
But when it comes to trucks, i preffer straight columns.

IROCs look good on about anything. I love them on Montes when the inserts are painted body color.

That is exactly what I was thinking! Paint the inserts black and we in bizness!

I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Every time I tear into something I make sure it is done right the first time. Sometimes that ends up being really expensive and time consuming. Like I had a problem with my horn not functioning correctly on my truck so I started digging into that. While I was in there I figured I might as well replace the turn signal switch that tends to break. That led to me taking out the column so I decided to remove the shaft that attaches to the power steering gear box, clean it, paint it, and re-grease it. I guess its not so much the columns that are stubborn as much as it is me. I don't like having to re-do things.

I know how you feel. Sadly that keeps me from making progress on my **** too. If I can't alot the funds and time to do it and do it right, then fugg it, I'm not doing it.

Exactly. And if you don't have money to do it right the first time, then it ends up being twice the expense when you do it again, and then end up spending the extra to do it right the 2nd time anyway.

Kinda like a 700r4 Rebuild Kit I have. I can rebuild a 700r4 now if I wanted to, but, I haven't had the cash to buy the extra add ons a 700r4 needs like Beast Sunshell or Alto Commercial Pak for the 3-4 clutch pack, so why bother? I'll wait til I get the other hard parts so the initial build turns out good.

Is it bad, I still think it's cool? I'd roll that all over the place. Redo the paint, put a 8" lift, and some 39.5 fun Country's, and nice set of deep Alcoa's. **** I want it now. Gotta get rid of the steps.

I would just take everything off but the visor and send it all to Pawpaw so he could have spares. My buddy had a visor on his K10 in high school and I liked it.

If I bought it, PawPaw would be getting the visor also. He'd have spares of everything.
